Peds cream is used to treat and prevent nappy rash. It forms a barrier on the skin and reduces moisture exposure.

- Zinc Oxide 150 mg per gram
How to use Peds Cream?
- Clean and dry the affected skin area thoroughly before applying
- A thin, even layer of Peds cream is applied over the rash or irritated skin
- The cream is left on and not wiped off between diaper changes
- Peds cream is for external use only; contact with the eyes must be avoided
- Hands should be washed after each application
Contraindications
- Known allergy to zinc oxide: Previous reactions to zinc oxide or any ingredient in the cream make use unsafe
- Deep skin wounds or severe burns: This cream is not suitable for open wounds or burns requiring medical treatment
- Infected skin with pus or discharge: A doctor should be seen before applying any barrier cream over an active skin infection
- Application near the eyes or mouth: Peds cream must not be placed on or near the eyes, lips, or inside the mouth
Drug Interactions
- Other topical creams or ointments: Applying additional creams over Peds cream may reduce its effectiveness as a skin barrier
- Topical corticosteroids: These should not be layered under or over Peds cream without a doctor's instruction
Risks and warnings
- Infected skin: Peds cream must not cover infected skin; infection requires treatment first before barrier use
- Persistent or worsening rash: A doctor should be seen if the rash does not improve within 7 days of regular use
- Perianal or perineal irritation with fungal signs: A fungal cause should be ruled out if the rash is bright red with satellite spots
- Pregnancy: Zinc oxide applied to intact skin is considered safe during pregnancy
- Breastfeeding: Peds cream is safe for use during breastfeeding when kept away from breast tissue
- Newborns and premature infants: A paediatrician should be consulted before use in very young or premature babies
Peds Cream Side Effects
- Skin redness or stinging at the application site
- Mild itching or burning in sensitive skin
- Dryness or peeling of the surrounding skin with prolonged use
- Allergic contact dermatitis in rare cases
- Skin discolouration with very frequent application over a long period
- Rash that worsens instead of improving after several days of use

- Store at room temperature, below 25°C
- Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
