What Experts Say
Metoclopramide is a dopamine receptor antagonist that works as a prokinetic and antiemetic agent. Clinical evidence shows it speeds up gastric emptying and blocks signals in the chemoreceptor trigger zone, which reduces nausea and vomiting arising from stomach and digestive causes.
The enzyme blend adds digestive support to this antiemetic action. Pancreatin supplies amylase, lipase, and protease for the breakdown of starch, fat, and protein. Bromelain assists protein digestion, simethicone disperses trapped gas bubbles, and sodium dehydrocholate promotes bile flow, which supports fat absorption.
Functional dyspepsia and post-meal bloating are frequent complaints in Pakistani clinics, and they often follow heavy, spicy, or fried meals. Doctors in Pakistan usually reserve this combination for short courses, since prolonged metoclopramide use raises the risk of movement-related side effects. Medical review is advised if symptoms persist beyond a few days of treatment.
