How to use Platrid-AP Tablet 75/75mg?

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Take at the same time each day for consistency
• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without medical advice
• Tell every doctor and dentist you see that you take this medicine

Contraindications

• Contraindicated in patients with active bleeding or a history of stomach ulcers
• Not suitable for patients with a known allergy to aspirin, clopidogrel or NSAIDs
• Avoid in patients with severe liver or kidney impairment
• Should not be given to children or teenagers with fever or a viral illness

Drug Interactions

• PPIs such as omeprazole: can reduce clopidogrel's antiplatelet effect
• Other NSAIDs: add to the bleeding risk from both aspirin and clopidogrel
• Warfarin and other blood thinners: significantly increase bleeding risk with concurrent use

Risks and warnings

• Surgery or dental work: tell your doctor or dentist you take this medicine before any procedure
• Stopping treatment: do not stop taking this medicine without medical advice, since this can raise clot risk
• Pregnancy: avoid aspirin from 20 weeks onward unless a doctor directs otherwise
• Breastfeeding: clopidogrel is generally not recommended, consult your doctor
