How to use Prednicol Drops 0.2%/0.5%?

• Wash your hands before using the drops.
• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket.
• Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye without touching the dropper tip to the eye.
• Close your eye gently for a minute and press lightly at the inner corner to limit drainage.
• Wait at least five minutes before using any other eye drop in the same eye.

Drug Interactions

• Other eye drops: Using multiple eye drops too close together can wash out this medicine, space doses at least five minutes apart.
• Other corticosteroid eye products: Combined steroid use raises the risk of elevated eye pressure.
• Live eye vaccines or procedures: Inform your doctor before any eye procedure while using this medicine.

Risks and warnings

• Prolonged use: Extended steroid use can raise eye pressure and increase the risk of cataracts.
• Viral or fungal infection: Avoid use if the underlying cause is a viral or fungal eye infection, since the steroid component can worsen these.
