How to use Prothiaden Tablet 25mg?

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at bedtime
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food
• Do not stop suddenly without medical advice, even if you feel better
• It may take two to four weeks of regular use before full benefit is felt
• Do not double the dose if a dose is missed, take the next dose at the usual time

Drug Interactions

• Must not be combined with MAOI antidepressants, a gap of at least two weeks is required between the two
• Increased risk of serotonin syndrome with SSRIs and other serotonergic antidepressants
• Additive sedation with alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other sedating medicines
• Increased risk of heart rhythm problems with other drugs that prolong the QT interval, such as certain antiarrhythmics and antipsychotics
