How to use Reltus DM expectorant?

• Take Reltus DM syrup exactly as your doctor or the pack advises, using the measuring cap or spoon.
• Do not give it to young children unless a doctor has approved the dose.

Drug Interactions

• MAO inhibitors: Taking this syrup with MAO inhibitor antidepressants, or within 14 days of stopping them, can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure or serotonin syndrome.
• SSRI antidepressants: Medicines such as fluoxetine or sertraline can add to the serotonin effect of dextromethorphan and raise the risk of agitation, tremor and fast heartbeat.
• Sedatives and alcohol: Sleeping pills, anxiety medicines and alcohol increase drowsiness.
• Blood pressure medicines: Pseudoephedrine can work against blood pressure medicines and reduce their effect.
