• Take with or without food, at the same time each day.
• This is also the reduced dose your doctor may prescribe for patients 100kg or more who are taking a moderate CYP2C8 inhibiting medicine.
• Continue diet and exercise changes alongside this medicine as advised by your hepatologist.

Drug Interactions

• Statins: Atorvastatin and pravastatin doses are usually capped at 40mg daily, and rosuvastatin or simvastatin at 20mg daily, when combined with Resmirom.
• Moderate CYP2C8 Inhibitors: Medicines such as clopidogrel or gemfibrozil can raise Resmetirom levels, so your doctor may reduce your dose to 60mg or 80mg.
• Strong CYP2C8 Inhibitors: Combining Resmirom with strong CYP2C8 inhibitors is not recommended due to a significant rise in drug exposure.
