How to use Revolizer Device?
- This device can be opened by pulling the mouthpiece until the arrows line up
- Place one rotacap into the chamber with its transparent end facing down
- Close the device firmly until it clicks, which pierces the capsule
- Breathe out fully, away from the device, before placing your lips on the mouthpiece
- Inhale quickly and deeply through the mouthpiece until you hear the rotacap spin
- Hold your breath for about ten seconds, then remove the device and exhale normally
Contraindications
- Not suitable for relieving a sudden asthma attack, as it only delivers maintenance medicine
- Avoid using a cracked, damaged or visibly worn device
- Should not be taken apart or used with anything other than a genuine rotacap
- Not recommended for patients who cannot generate a fast, deep inward breath
Risks and warnings
- Cleaning schedule: rinse the mouthpiece and chamber under running water about once a week
- Drying time: let the device air dry fully, which can take several hours, before using it again
- Device lifespan: replace this device roughly every six months, or sooner if it becomes damaged
- Wet or damp device: never load a rotacap or inhale through a device that is still wet
- Incomplete inhalation: reopen the chamber after inhaling to check if powder remains, and repeat if needed
