- Rifampicin 300mg

How to use Rimactal-INH tablet 300mg?
- Take on an empty stomach, at least one hour before food.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
- Take at the same time every day without skipping doses.
- Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.
- Do not stop treatment without your doctor's advice.
Drug Interactions
Rimactal-INH interacts with many common medicines, so inform your doctor about everything you take.
- Oral Contraceptives: Rifampicin reduces the effectiveness of birth control pills.
- Warfarin: Can reduce the blood-thinning effect of warfarin.
- Antifungal Medicines: Rifampicin lowers blood levels of drugs like ketoconazole.
- Alcohol: Increases the risk of liver damage when combined with Isoniazid.
Risks and warnings
- Liver Toxicity: Both ingredients can affect the liver, so regular liver function tests are needed.
- Orange Discoloration: Rifampicin turns urine, sweat and tears orange, which is harmless.
- Nerve Damage: Isoniazid can cause numbness or tingling in hands and feet without vitamin B6 supplementation.
- Alcohol Use: Drinking alcohol during treatment raises the risk of liver damage.
- Missed Doses: Irregular use can lead to drug-resistant tuberculosis.
