How to use Scoxy Tablet?
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Take it with a meal for better absorption
- Do not crush or chew the tablet
- Do not add other calcium or vitamin D products without medical advice
Contraindications
- Should not be used by patients allergic to ossein mineral complex, vitamin D3 or any ingredient
- Should not be used with high calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcemia)
- Should not be used with a history of kidney stones or serious kidney disease
- Should not be used with overactive parathyroid glands, or sarcoidosis unless advised by a doctor
Risks and warnings
- Use with caution: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and use it only on a doctor's advice
- Use with caution: if you have kidney disease or a heart condition, since calcium levels may need monitoring
- Do not exceed the recommended dose: as too much calcium and vitamin D may cause vomiting, weakness and excessive thirst
- Avoid combining calcium or vitamin D products: unless your doctor advises, as total intake may become too high
- Space apart from some medicines: calcium may reduce absorption of tetracyclines, bisphosphonates and levothyroxine
- Use with caution: if you take thiazide diuretics or digoxin, as high calcium levels may raise risks
- Limit spinach, bran, caffeine and alcohol: as they may reduce calcium absorption
