How to use Sildat Capsule 8mg?

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water
• If you cannot swallow it whole, open it onto a spoon of cool applesauce and take right away
• Take at the same time each day
• Do not chew the capsule contents

Contraindications

• People diagnosed with severe liver impairment should not use this capsule
• Contraindicated in patients with severe kidney impairment
• Not suitable for patients with a known allergy to silodosin
• Not indicated for use in women or children

Drug Interactions

• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors: such as ketoconazole or clarithromycin, can raise silodosin levels in the body
• Other alpha-blockers: add to the blood-pressure-lowering effect of this medicine
• PDE5 inhibitors: such as sildenafil or tadalafil, can add to blood-pressure-lowering effects

Risks and warnings

• Dizziness or fainting: most likely when starting treatment, avoid sudden changes in posture
• Driving and machinery: avoid these activities until you know how this medicine affects you
• Cataract or eye surgery: tell your eye surgeon you take this medicine beforehand
