How to use Siton Plus Cream?

• Wash and pat the face dry before applying
• Apply a thin layer to the affected areas only, avoiding normal skin
• Use sunscreen every morning while on this cream
• Wash hands thoroughly after application

Contraindications

• Should not be applied by pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Not suitable for children under 12 years of age
• Contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to any of its three active ingredients
• Avoid on sunburned, broken or eczema-affected skin

Drug Interactions

• Benzoyl peroxide: combined use can oxidize and discolor the skin, and should be avoided
• Other topical retinoids or exfoliants: combined use increases the risk of irritation and peeling
• Sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid products: combined use raises the risk of skin irritation
• Other bleaching or skin-lightening products: combined use is not recommended without medical advice

Risks and warnings

• Sun exposure: increases the risk of irritation and worsening pigmentation, so daily sunscreen is essential
• Prolonged use: raises the risk of skin thinning and a bluish-grey discoloration from the hydroquinone component
• Tretinoin sensitivity: may cause redness, peeling and dryness in the first few weeks of use
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women: should not use this cream due to the tretinoin and hydroquinone content
