• Continue taking it regularly even if symptoms improve.

Drug Interactions

Tamsulosin can interact with medicines that also affect blood pressure or the same liver enzymes.

• Other alpha blockers: Combining increases the risk of low blood pressure.
• Strong CYP3A4 or CYP2D6 inhibitors (ketoconazole, paroxetine): Can raise tamsulosin levels and side effect risk.
• PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil): May increase the risk of dizziness or low blood pressure together.
