How to use Stenzar Syrup?

• Shake the bottle well before each use
• Measure the dose using the measuring cup or spoon provided
• Take by mouth, with or without food
• Use at the same times each day for consistent relief

Contraindications

• Not recommended for infants under 2 years of age
• Known allergy to cyproheptadine or any ingredient rules out its use
• Contraindicated in patients with narrow angle glaucoma
• Should not be taken by patients on MAOI medication or within 14 days of stopping one

Drug Interactions

• Alcohol and other sedating medicines: combined use increases drowsiness and sedation
• MAOI antidepressants: combining with this syrup can raise the risk of a hypertensive reaction
• Other antihistamines or cold and allergy products: taking together increases the risk of excess sedation

Risks and warnings

• Driving or operating machinery: avoid until you know how this syrup affects your alertness, as drowsiness is common
• Elderly patients: may be more sensitive to sedation and should use a lower dose under medical guidance
• Asthma or breathing conditions: should be discussed with a physician before starting this syrup
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women: should use this syrup only if the physician advises it
