How to use Ulcenil Tablet 20mg?
- Ulcenil tablet can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water, without crushing or chewing.
- Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early
- Do not stop this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor
- For best results, take the 40mg strength at bedtime as directed
Contraindications
- History of allergy to Famotidine or any other H2-receptor blocker such as ranitidine
- Previous allergic reaction to Ulcenil tablet or any of its inactive ingredients
- Confirmed diagnosis of gastric malignancy without further investigation
- Severe kidney impairment without dose adjustment under specialist guidance
Drug Interactions
- Warfarin: Famotidine may increase the blood-thinning effect of warfarin, raising the risk of bleeding.
- Ketoconazole: Ulcenil tablets can reduce the absorption of ketoconazole, making the antifungal less effective.
