• Shake Ventolin Evohaler well, breathe out, then press once while breathing in slowly and deeply.
• Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, then breathe out gently. Wait about a minute before the next puff if needed.
• Use the dose your doctor has prescribed, commonly 1 to 2 puffs when symptoms occur.
• Use a spacer if advised, and check the dose counter so you never run out.

Drug Interactions

• Beta blockers such as propranolol: They can block the effect of salbutamol and may trigger wheezing.
• Steroids, diuretics and theophylline: Together with high doses of salbutamol they may lower blood potassium.
