How to use Vorif Tablet 200mg?
- Vorif tablet should be taken at least one hour before or after a meal
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water, without crushing or chewing
- Take at the same times each day to maintain steady levels in the blood
- Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients taking certain heart rhythm medicines like quinidine
- Not suitable for patients with a known allergy to voriconazole or other azole antifungals
- Should not be taken by patients on rifampicin or St John's Wort due to reduced effectiveness
- Those with a history of severe liver disease need close monitoring or an alternative medicine.
Drug Interactions
- Rifampicin: significantly reduces voriconazole levels and effectiveness
- Warfarin: voriconazole increases bleeding risk when combined
- Sirolimus: blood levels can rise to dangerous levels; this combination is usually avoided
