How to use Voxiquin Tablet 500 mg?

• Voxiquin tablet can be taken with or without food, but a full glass of water is required with each dose.
• Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush, break, or chew it.
• If taking antacids, multivitamins, or iron supplements, allow at least 2 hours between the Voxiquin tablet and these medications.
• Never stop Voxiquin tablet early, even if symptoms improve. Stopping early can cause the infection to return.
• The full course length depends on the type and severity of the infection.
• Always follow your doctor's instructions.

• QT-prolonging medicines, including certain heart, psychiatric, or antifungal drugs, can worsen heart rhythm when combined.
• Theophylline, used for breathing conditions, may reach unsafe levels in the blood when taken with the Voxiquin tablet.
• Diabetes medicines, including insulin and oral hypoglycaemics, may cause unpredictable blood sugar changes when combined.

Risks and warnings

• Tendon rupture risk: Fluoroquinolones carry a serious risk of tendon inflammation and rupture, especially in the Achilles tendon. Stop this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you feel tendon pain.
• QT prolongation: Voxiquin tablet can affect the heart's electrical rhythm. This risk is higher in patients who already have heart conditions or take other QT-prolonging medicines.
• Seizure history: Levofloxacin lowers the seizure threshold. Patients with epilepsy or any CNS disorder must inform their doctor before starting this medicine.
• Photosensitivity: Voxiquin tablet increases the skin's sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use sunscreen throughout the course.
• Blood sugar changes: This medicine can cause both high and low blood sugar, especially in patients already taking diabetes medicines. Monitor blood glucose closely.
• Antibiotic resistance: The Voxiquin tablet must only be used for confirmed or suspected bacterial infections. Unnecessary use reduces its effectiveness over time.
• Pregnancy: Levofloxacin is not recommended during pregnancy. Discuss all risks with your doctor before use.
