How to use Xirconi Cream 1%?

• Xirconi cream is for external use on skin only, not for eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.
• Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before each application
• Apply a thin layer of Xirconi cream and spread it slightly beyond the infected skin
• Continue the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve before it ends
• Do not stop this medicine before the treatment period is complete without consulting your doctor

Contraindications

• History of allergy to oxiconazole nitrate or any ingredient in the cream
• Viral or bacterial skin infections, as this medicine targets fungi only
• Open wounds, broken skin, or severely inflamed areas at the site of application
• Children under 2 years without prior medical advice from a doctor

Drug Interactions

• Other topical antifungals: using two antifungal creams together may cause unexpected skin reactions
• Topical corticosteroids: combining these with Xirconi cream may reduce its effectiveness against the infection
• Other skin products: medicated washes, chemical exfoliants, or skin treatments may irritate the area when used alongside Xirconi cream

Risks and warnings

• Open or broken skin: Xirconi cream must not be applied to wounds, blisters, or broken skin areas
• Eye contact: the cream must be kept away from eyes, as it may irritate if it enters the eye
• Sensitive skin: patients with sensitive skin should do a patch test before full application
• Mucous membranes: Xirconi cream must not be applied near or inside the nose, mouth, or vaginal area
• Viral or bacterial skin infections: this medicine does not treat bacterial or viral infections of the skin
• Pregnancy: use only if a doctor confirms the benefit clearly outweighs any potential risk
• Breastfeeding: oxiconazole passes into breast milk, so discuss with a doctor before using
• Children under 2: use is not recommended in this age group without direct medical supervision
