How to use Zopent Tablet 40mg?

• Zopent may be taken with or without food, though taking it before breakfast may improve acid control.
• The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and should not be crushed or chewed.
• Zopent works best when taken at the same time every day, generally thirty to sixty minutes before a meal.
• The standard adult dose for acid reflux is 40mg once daily, usually continued for four to eight weeks.
• For Helicobacter pylori treatment, Zopent is combined with antibiotics as directed by a doctor.
• The dose should not be increased or the course extended beyond what a doctor has recommended.

Drug Interactions

Pantoprazole has a lower potential for drug interactions than some older proton pump inhibitors. However, the following should be noted:

• Warfarin: Concurrent use can raise INR and prothrombin time, increasing the risk of abnormal bleeding. Closer monitoring is advised.
