Allergic Asthma

Asked for Male, 12 years

My 6 year old child has allergic asthma and is on medication like unifyline, Lorin for two months now.but from last one month after schooling starts, he poops frequently like 3,4 times a day. I have asked a Dr but he said it's normal, kid do it espeacially with anxiety. But I need to take a second opinion from Dr here .is it normal or not

Dear Patient,

Yes its normal. If the child has no fever, stomachache, hes eating normally and his stools arent liquidy/covered in mucus/have a very weird smell/are blood stained then its normal that he has multiple stools. Look out for more signs of anxiety in kids. If there are other signs you may want to address why he is feeling anxious/stressed and help him cope. If all else is normal, kindly ignore excess stools.
