Cyst issue

Asked for Female, 39 years

I had a cyst removed in 2018 from on my chin. The removal was completely painless and immediately the swelling was drastically reduced. Over the past few days the cyst has reappeared in the same place, so after going to my GP I have been prescribed a course of antibiotics. There doesn't have much effect. Would I have to for another removing cyst treatment or not? Because I don't want to be taking antibiotics unnecessarily

Dear Patient,

I'm not sure if your cyst has recurred or if your scar is infected. If its infection it should heal with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines over time. If not then you may need surgery again. Kindly take a second opinion.
