Dark Upper Arms

My upper arms are so dark and I also have some small sand like bums. I noticed this since I was 15 years old. As my skin is quite fair, it looks very promiment. I have been using Betnovate-N cream for small bumps. The bumps have vanished mostly, but still have black marks. using Retin-A gel since two months, but there is no improvement. Please suggest me how to solve these problems.

Retin A gel has retinoic acid which is harmful to the fetus if one is pregnant and has many side effects. We can understand that cosmetically these are unappealing and you want to treat it but if they aren't painful or harmful then you should avoid unnecessary treatments unless necessary. A plastic surgeon and dermatologist can guide you better however in most cases treatment are avoided unless a condition is obstructive to normal life.
