Eczema Problem

Why do I keep getting eczema (especially on my face)? What can I do to prevent it? There are so many products (cosmetics, toiletries, etc) that apparently cause my eczema. How can I know before trying something new if it will cause any reaction or not?

Dear Patient,

Eczema is an atopic condition. What you can do is there are testers of most things in good departmental stores. You can always try a teaspoon worth of new product on a patch of your arm. You can encircle and even label it. Once you have the product on for a few hours and if you don't have a reaction for 1-2 days then you can safely use that product. This is how most things are tested on patients/animals in the lab. I hope you find this helpful.

If a chemical bothers you-you can also read up on its components and see which one flares up eczema, it's likely the same component in other products does it too like zinc, etc
