Infection on the skin

Does anyone know what this is? My mom is 75 yrs old, she's had issues of numbness in her feet for the last 10 yrs, it has gotten to this bruised state recently, last 2 years. It worsened after she had gotten surgery on her back and was bed ridden for 6 months. The bruising is mainly on her feet but now it is spreading to other parts of her body; her inner thigh, top of her shoulder. Thinking it may be a blockage in her blood circulation but not exactly sure. Her doctors don't have any answers.

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. Is your mother taking any blood thinners? Given her age and medical history, she is probably been given some. Kindly ask your doctor if you can change it to the ones that cause less bruising.
Also in old age, the skin gets thin and blood vessels get damaged easily causing bruising. I would recommend getting a Complete blood count, blood PT, and APTT done, if her platelets and other results are normal then you don't need to worry.
