Itching and Scratching

My father is a dialysis patient. Sometimes he feel itchiness in various parts of his body and after scratching he feel that itchiness is causing allergy or redness and then he can’t stop itching. He also consulted with doctor and they give him Avil and anti- reaction injection which helps him for few hours or a day. I am looking for a permanent solution for this. Any skin specialist who can tell what is the issue and how should it be cured?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear this. Please perform the LFT blood test of your father. He may be having raised bilirubin levels that are causing this itching. if this comes normal, then we can notice if this itch is before or after dialysis/or after eating a particular food... he might be developing a food or drug allergy.
