My hand burned

Asked for Female, 28 years

My hand got burned yesterday from a hot saucepan. It started off with extreme redness and now the wound has turned into a big size bubble/ burn blister. I haven't put my hand into the water since yesterday. Although I've been applying antiseptic creams on it. so now what should I do? Should I wait for the bubble to burst or dry on its own or take any medication? Or any specific ointment?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. The first thing to do in the burn is to wash it with room temperature water for 20mins to stop the burning process. Then air dry it and apply dermazin ointment to it. You can continue applying this or any silver sulfAdiazine cream to it repeatedly and protect it from heat dust and water.
