Pimple on lip

I have a pimple sort of show up on my lip as of yesterday, upon a little online research it seems to be either a cold sore or herpes simplex..not sure though and don’t even know what they mean. Can you kindly see picture attached and let me know if it’s anything serious and should i pay a visit to the doctors. P.s im a type 2 diabetic and on janumet to control it.
