Saggy Eyelid

My grandfather 65 years old had saggy left lower eyelids pointing outward. This eye remains red and irritable most of the time. How serious is this and where to seek treatment? Reply soon we are worried that he might lose his left eye.

Dear Patient,

Eyelids work like wipers on the windshield. The difference is that their wipers work continuously to keep the eyes moist. If the eyelid is not properly closing, moisture isn't spreading evenly and the eye is open to harm from sir and dust hence the symptoms. Put 2 drops of Softeal eye drops every two hours in his eyes or less if needed and see an eye specialist soon. Botox, collagen or steroid injection in the skin may help it regain its original shape. A cosmetologist may help you with that.
