Scalp Acne

10 Days back I felt some acne on the scalp and after 1-2 days there were more so I went to a barber and get my head shaved then I saw the acne it was like 14-15 but when I went today to the barber for shaving the head again there was a bunch of acne. Can anyone tell me what to do for it? I have used a cap since last week whenever i went out can this increase the acne on scalp?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. Wherever there are excess oiliness acne increases. Use head and shoulders on your scalp regularly till the acne reduces. Apply acdermin gel at night daily to these and see if they reduce. Make sure blade and comb do NOT touch this acne as that can complicate it. Have lots of water, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid junk and fast foods.
If things don't improve in 2-3weeks kindly see a dermatologist.
