What are the available forms of Breeky?

Breeky is available in a tablet dosage form.

How is Breeky classified?

Breeky contains misoprostol- a gastrointestinal drug, an abortive agent, and a prostaglandin.

What are the risks and warnings for Breeky?

Generally, Breeky is tolerated well. However, you should know its risks and warnings. So you do not take it when the risk is greater than the benefit. When your healthcare provider prescribes it, they decide on the risk versus benefit ratio. Therefore you should give a complete medication and medical history to your healthcare providers. In this way, mishaps can be reduced many times.

1. Hypersensitivity or allergy

If you have had an allergic reaction to Breeky, do not take it again. Doing that may cause an allergic reaction that can be fatal. Always inform your healthcare provider about the documented allergies you have.

Anaphylactic shock is a rare but severe allergic reaction, that if not treated at the right time can be life-threatening. It shows the signs and symptoms such as hives, pale skin, labored breathing, itching, excessive salivation, feeling too warm, a weak and rapid pulse, nausea, vomiting, runny nose, sneezing, swollen lips, and tongue, wheezing, dizziness, low blood pressure, and tingling hands, feet, mouth, or scalp.

2. Respiratory impairment

If you have any respiratory problems, you should use Breeky with caution as it can worsen the condition.

3. Liver failure

If your liver functioning is compromised, or you have liver failure, do not take Breeky, as it may cause hepatic encephalopathy- a liver disease that affects the brain and its functioning. It is because your liver helps in the metabolism and excretion of drugs. When it does not work efficiently due to any disease, it can cause an accumulation of the drug in your body, leading to severe adverse effects.

4. Elderly

Older people should take Breeky with caution, or in lower doses, as they are more susceptible to its adverse effects.

5. Hypertension

If you have hypertension, you should tell your healthcare provider beforehand.

6. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant, do not take Breeky as it can lead to abortion and the death of the fetus. Whenever your healthcare prescribes it to you, it is better to take a pregnancy test if you are sexually active, as it can lead to abortion.

7. Inflammatory Bowel Disease

People with inflammatory bowel disease should also avoid consuming Breeky.

8. Alcohol Consumption

Do not consume alcohol with Breeky.

Interactions between Breeky and other medications

Drug interactions occur when you take two or more drugs that may alter

the effect of each other or lead to adverse reactions. You must tell your healthcare provider if you take other medications.

  • Antacids with magnesium

To avoid drug interactions, you must give a complete history to the healthcare provider about other health conditions you have and the medicines you have been taking. At times, a dose adjustment can help prevent drug interaction.
