There are some specific circumstances under which the use of certain medications is contraindicated or considered dangerous. So if you are taking any medicine its always a good practice to familiarize yourself with its risks and warnings.

The risks and warnings associated with Brexin are:

1. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Women who are pregnant should not take Brexin unless approved by their doctor. Brexin can endanger the heart of the baby, especially when taken during the third trimester.Similarly, women who are breastfeeding should not take Brexin, unless advised otherwise by their doctor.

2. Allergic to Brexin

People who are allergic to Piroxicam should not use Brexin, or medicines with the same generic name. An allergic reaction may be mild, causing wheezing or rashes, etc., but it can be life-threatening as well.

An extreme form of an allergic reaction, anaphylactic shock, can be fatal as well if the antidote is not administered in time. Therefore, disclose all your allergies to your healthcare provider, so the risk of anaphylaxis is minimized.

3. Heart diseases

People with heart disease or a history of heart attack should use Brexin with caution. It inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which is a chemical that protects the heart.

4. Stroke

People with a history of stroke should not take Brexin, as it can increase their chances of getting another episode of it.

5. Hypertension

Patients diagnosed with hypertension should use the tablets or the sachets of Brexin with caution.

Brexin causes water retention in the body, and thus increases the volume of blood, which is an alarming state for hypertensive patients.

6. Congestive heart failure

Individuals suffering from congestive heart failure should take Brexin with caution. In their condition, their heart is already struggling to efficiently pump blood around the body. Adding the water retention caused by Brexin to mix complicates the condition then.

7. Edema

People with edema; swelling in the body should take Brexin with caution. Edema is aggravated by water retention in the body, and as Brexin causes it, people need to be careful with their Brexin consumption.

8. Gastric ulcers

Brexin inhibits the production of chemicals that protect the lining of the stomach. Thus, people suffering from gastritis and acidity should take Brexin with caution, as it can aggravate their symptoms.

Long-term use of Brexin can cause ulceration in the lining of the stomach, which is why your doctor may have to prescribe a gastroprotective agent alongside Brexin.

9. Anticoagulants or bleeding disorders

If you suffer from bleeding disorders or use anticoagulants for thinning blood, you should take Brexin with care.

Brexin inhibits the production of chemicals in the body that is responsible for making clotting factors. Since the same purpose is served by anticoagulants, taking them with Brexin can compound this effect in the body. Consequently, there is an increased risk of bleeding on account of the increased anticoagulant action.

10. Kidney disease

People suffering from kidney disease need to exercise extreme caution when using Brexin, as long-term usage of Brexin increases the risk of kidney impairment.

11. Asthma

Since Brexin can precipitate existing cases of asthma, asthmatic people should take it with caution.

12. Liver diseases

Those suffering from liver disease should take Brexin at the discretion of their doctor. The liver performs the task of metabolism and excretion of drugs. When its function is impaired, drugs get accumulated in the body that can have grave implications on the person's health.
