KUB is another diagnostic technique which uses x-rays and is especially made to examine the urinary and the gastrointestinal tract. KUB is part of the initial testing panel which is conducted when there is a chance of a person being renal colic. X-rays used in this technique are merged with another special type of electromagnetic radiation and the result is depicted on a special film.
