The cardiology department, on the other hand, is one of the oldest departments in the hospital and has been steadily improving and adapting since its formation. It is the only hospital in KP that is capable of carrying out extremely complex life-saving procedures such as Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, 24/7.
Rehman Medical Institute is open 24/7 although doctors do have particular timings for consultations and appointments.
The pathology department at RMI is very well developed, capable of administering over 300 different kinds of medical tests. Most of their test management system is computerised so there is little to no chance of human error. The radiology department is equally developed and has a number of highly advanced imaging machines available for various kinds of scans, including fibro scans and fluoroscopies.
