Facial deformities can occur in both children and adults due to many reasons. They can be congenital (present at birth) or acquired, due to trauma, surgery, etc. The treatment for such deformities in children such as cleft lip should be treated as soon as possible. The treatment for facial deformities is usually surgery, performed with the intent of correcting the deformities and restoring the normal function of the affected tissue.
