Laser treatment for acne scars is an outpatient procedure performed by expert dermatologists for the purpose of reducing scars on the skin which are caused due to inflamed blemishes. In this procedure, laser therapy is used to either remove the outer layer of the scarred skin surface or promote the growth of new, healthy skin to cover the damaged area. It is important to note that laser treatment for acne scars doesn't fully remove acne scars but can reduce the pain they cause while also reducing their appearance and thickness.
