Squint surgery is a procedure that is performed to correct misalignment of the eyes. In squint surgery also known as strabismus surgery, the eye surgeon attempts to restore the normal alignment of the eyes by moving one or more of the muscles that control eye movement. It can be done in both children and adults and can provide many other benefits like improved vision and quality of life apart from correcting the alignment of the eyes. It is usually recommended once other, less invasive methods of treatment have failed or are deemed unsuitable for the patient.
