Airflo tablet 10mg formula
How to use Airflo tablet 10mg?
- Take one tablet daily in the evening as prescribed.
- Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food.
- Continue taking it daily even when you feel well.
- Do not use it to treat a sudden asthma attack.
- Keep using your regular inhaler unless your doctor says otherwise.
Drug Interactions
Airflo can interact with a few medicines that affect its breakdown in the liver.
- Phenobarbital: Can lower Montelukast levels and reduce its effect.
- Rifampicin: Speeds up Montelukast breakdown, reducing its effectiveness.
- Other Asthma Medicines: Usually safe together, but always confirm with your doctor before combining.
Risks and warnings
- Mood Changes: Some patients report anxiety, agitation or unusual dreams.
- Not a Rescue Inhaler: It does not relieve a sudden asthma attack and works only for prevention.
- Liver Function: Rare cases of liver enzyme changes have been reported.
- Children and Elderly: Dose adjustment may be needed based on age.
- Missed Doses: Skipping doses can reduce asthma control over time.
