How to use Azobar Tablet 500mg?

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
• Do not crush or chew the tablet
• Avoid taking with antacids at the same time
• Take at the same time each day

Contraindications

• This medicine must not be used by patients with a known allergy to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics
• Not suitable for patients with significant liver impairment or a history of azithromycin-related liver problems
• Avoid in patients with a known heart rhythm disorder or QT interval prolongation
• Not recommended for patients with myasthenia gravis

Drug Interactions

• Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium: reduce azithromycin absorption; separate dosing by a few hours
• Warfarin: azithromycin can increase its blood-thinning effect; monitoring may be needed
• Digoxin and ergot alkaloids: combined use can raise blood levels of these medicines; use only under medical advice
