How to use Brimson drops 0.2% 5ml?

• Wash hands before touching the dropper tip
• Tilt the head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket
• Instill one drop into the pocket without letting the dropper touch the eye or eyelid
• Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for one to two minutes after each drop (punctal occlusion) to reduce absorption into the body
• Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them

Drug Interactions

• MAO Inhibitors: Combining with MAO inhibitor medicines can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure.
• Tricyclic Antidepressants: May reduce the eye pressure lowering effect of brimonidine.
• Central Nervous System Depressants: Alcohol or sedative medicines can increase drowsiness when combined with Brimson.
• Other Blood Pressure Medicines: May add to blood pressure lowering effects, causing dizziness.

Risks and warnings

• Low Blood Pressure: May cause dizziness or a drop in blood pressure, so use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disease.
• Not for Young Children: Brimonidine can cause serious breathing problems and drowsiness in infants and young children, so keep it out of their reach.
