What Experts Say
Doctors across Pakistan often prescribe Clintol Tablet for allergy flare ups during pollen season in cities like Lahore and Karachi. It contains loratadine, a second generation antihistamine that blocks histamine, the chemical behind sneezing, itching, watery eyes and a runny nose. Most people do not feel drowsy after taking it.
Dust, smog and seasonal pollen are common triggers for allergic rhinitis and hives across Pakistani cities including Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Clintol Tablet is a popular first choice because one tablet a day is enough and it fits an affordable budget. Many doctors pair it with saline nasal rinses during high pollution months.
Anyone with liver or kidney disease should check with a doctor before starting this tablet, since the dose may need adjusting. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also get medical advice first. A doctor visit is worthwhile if symptoms last beyond a week or keep coming back.
