How to use Cosentyx Injection 150mg?

• Administer by subcutaneous injection into the thigh, abdomen or upper arm, as instructed by your doctor
• Follow the loading dose schedule at weeks 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4, then continue with monthly dosing
• Allow the pre filled syringe or pen to reach room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes before injecting
• Rotate injection sites each time to avoid skin irritation
• Do not shake the syringe or pen before use
• Only a trained healthcare provider, or a patient trained by one, should give the injection

Drug Interactions

• Live Vaccines: Should not be given during treatment because immune suppression can reduce vaccine safety and effectiveness.
• CYP450 Substrate Drugs (Warfarin, Cyclosporine): Inflammation reduction from secukinumab can normalize CYP450 activity, sometimes requiring a dose adjustment of these medicines.
• Other Biologic or Immunosuppressive Therapies: Combining with other strong immune suppressing treatments raises infection risk and is generally avoided.
