Dermosporin Lotion Uses

Dermosporin is used to treat a wide range of fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, nappy rash, etc. It contains Clotrimazole, a broad spectrum antimycotic, belonging to the class of drugs called imidazoles. It works by preventing the growth of fungus and combats the cause of the fungal infection. Dermosporin solution is also effective in relieving the symptoms that accompany most skin infections such as itching, irritation, swelling, etc.

  • Wash your hands
  • Clean and dry the area to be treated
  • Apply a thin layer of Dermosporin solution onto the affected area
  • Apply enough solution to cover the affected area and some of the surrounding skin.
  • Use Dermosporin solution on the skin only
  • Apply Dermosporin solution twice a day or as directed by your doctor
  • The dosage and length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated
  • Do not apply the solution more often than prescribed.
  • After applying Dermosporin solution, wash your hands
  • Do not wrap, cover or bandage the area unless directed to do so by your doctor
  • Do not get the solution in the eyes, nose, mouth
  • If the solution gets in your eyes, wash it immediately with water and inform your doctor
  • If the solution is swallowed or ingested, go to the nearest hospital immediately
