Cefuroxime is a second generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by stopping bacteria from building a normal cell wall, which causes the bacteria to die. • Measure the dose using the marked spoon or oral syringe provided
• Take Evorox Suspension at evenly spaced times, usually every 12 hours
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve earlier
• Can be taken with or without food, though food may reduce stomach upset

Evorox Suspension can interact with other medicines, tell your doctor everything you take.

• Probenecid: Increases blood levels of cefuroxime by slowing its removal from the body
• Oral Contraceptives: Antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills
• Antacids And Acid Reducers: Reduce absorption of cefuroxime, separate doses by at least two hours
• Live Bacterial Vaccines: Antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of live vaccines such as typhoid vaccine
