How to use Fonaz Capsule 150mg?
- Fonaz capsule can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water, without crushing or chewing.
- Take at the time your doctor recommends if a repeat dose is prescribed
- Do not repeat the dose sooner than advised, even if symptoms persist
Contraindications
- Known allergy to fluconazole or other azole antifungals rules out use
- Not recommended for patients taking terfenadine or similar heart rhythm medicines
- Patients with a history of liver disease should use this medicine with caution
- Should not be taken by patients with a prolonged QT interval on ECG
Drug Interactions
- Warfarin: fluconazole can increase the blood-thinning effect
- Statins: combining raises the risk of muscle-related side effects
- Oral diabetes medicines: fluconazole can lower blood sugar further
