Fortum Injection Uses
Fortum injection is an antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial infections like urinary tract infections, sinusitis, otitis media, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, typhoid fever, etc.
Fortum injection is composed of Ceftazidime, which is a cephalosporin that belongs to the group of beta-lactam antibiotics. They work by inhibiting the synthesis of the cell wall of bacteria, hence making it difficult for them to survive. Antibiotics can only fight against bacteria. They are not active against viruses. Therefore, they are given to treat bacterial infections only. Ceftazidime is a third-generation cephalosporin.
