Frisium Tablet Uses

Frisium tablet is used for the treatment of anxiety and to control seizures. It contains clobazam as the active ingredient. Clobazam belongs to the class of drugs known as benzodiazepines. It works by enhancing the effects of Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter. This creates a calming effect on the brain, alleviating anxiety and seizure disorders like epilepsy and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS).

Overdose

An overdose of clobazam can result in the following symptoms:

• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• CNS depression
• Hypotension
• Ataxia

To prevent side effects due to overdose, do not exceed the maximum dosage of 40mg per day.

Always follow the dosage instructions of your healthcare provider and consult them immediately if you experience any serious side effects.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Frisium tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If its almost time for your next scheduled dose, then skip the missed dose and take your next dose on time.

Do not overdose or take in excess to make up for missed doses as it may lead to side effects and complications. In case of any confusion about the dosage, it is best to consult your doctor.

Risks and warnings

1. Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, avoid using Frisium unless specified otherwise by your healthcare provider. If you become pregnant while under Frisium treatment you must let your doctor know.

2. Breastfeeding

Clobazam, the main ingredient in Frisium, may pass into breast milk leading to side effects such as drowsiness in the baby. Refer to your healthcare provider for instructions on using this drug in lactation.

3. Driving or operating heavy machinery

To prevent the risk of accidents it is advised to refrain from driving or operating heavy machinery when taking Frisium as it can make you drowsy, affect your coordination, and impair your thinking ability.

4. Allergic reactions

If you are allergic to Clobazam, you should inform your healthcare provider. They might prescribe you alternative drugs to prevent allergic reactions.

5. Children under 2 years of age

Caution is advised when administering this drug to children below 2 years of age. The safety of efficacy of Clobazam for children aged below 2 years has not been established. Consult a healthcare provider before use.

6. Alcohol

Avoid alcohol consumption when taking Frisium as it can accentuate the drowsiness and dizziness effects of this drug.

How to use Frisium Tablet 10mg?

• Take Frisium orally with a glass of water.
• Swallow it whole.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.
• Take the medicine with or without food as recommended by your doctor.
