How to use Gabica Tablet 75mg?
- Gabica may be taken with or without food.
- The capsule should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water.
- Gabica must not be stopped suddenly. The dose must always be reduced gradually under doctor supervision to prevent withdrawal symptoms.
- Alcohol must be completely avoided throughout treatment as it significantly increases CNS depression and dizziness.
- The standard adult starting dose for neuropathic pain is 75mg twice daily or 50mg three times daily, increased based on response and tolerability. The maximum dose is 600mg per day. For generalized anxiety disorder, 150mg per day divided into two to three doses, increased to a maximum of 600mg per day as needed.
- The dose should not be changed or stopped without consulting the prescribing doctor. Full therapeutic effect may take 1 to 2 weeks to appear.
Drug Interactions
All current medicines, supplements, and herbal products must be disclosed to the prescribing doctor before starting Gabica. Key interactions include:
- Opioid analgesics including tramadol, codeine, and morphine: Combining with Pregabalin carries an FDA black box warning for serious respiratory depression, sedation, coma, and death. This combination must only be used under close medical supervision with the lowest effective doses.
