Gaviscon Advance Syrup Uses

Gaviscon advance syrup is an antacid used for the treatment of heartburn, acid reflux, and indigestion. The syrup is a reflux suppressant that works by preventing acid from flowing back up into the esophagus by forming a protective foam barrier at the top of the stomach contents. This foam barrier prevents acid reflux and protects the esophagus from inflammation and damage caused by stomach acid. By neutralizing stomach acid, Gaviscon advance syrup can provide relief from the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, and associated pain and discomfort in the esophagus.

How to use Gaviscon Advance Syrup?

• Shake the bottle well before use
• Use a measuring cup, spoon, or dropper for the exact quantity
• The recommended dosage in adults is 2-4 teaspoons 4 times a day as directed by your doctor
• It is recommended to take it after meals
• Do not take more than 16 teaspoons of the syrup in a day
• Do not exceed the prescribed dosage
• Not recommended for children under the age of 6 years
• If your condition does not improve after 7 days of using this medicine, contact your doctor
• Close the cap of the bottle tightly after use
