Getryl Tablet Uses

Getryl is anti-diabetic drug which is used to treat type 2 diabetes. It is helpful in conditions when the receptors become insensitive to the action of insulin because it helps in the sensitization of receptors to the action of insulin. Often it is given in combination with metformin to achieve glycemic control. Getryl contains glimepiride that belongs to the sulfonylureas group of drugs used to treat type 2 diabetes. Glimepiride lowers blood sugar levels by promoting insulin production through the pancreas, and aiding in the efficient use of insulin by the body.
